If it wasn't a problem you wouldn't be posting about it now would you? EDIT: Just to clarify, I don't have a problem with you wanting an option to censor your own experience of the game, as long as it doesn't have a negative impact on my enjoyment of the game, such as delaying release date, or being an enforced censorship. Hey guys I don't have a jealous wife but I do have a jealous girlfriend! She saw some of the people dancing and asked me what porno game I was playing. I just don't look at it, but my GF thinks that I should stop playing GW. I don't ask for any censorship or anything like that, but rather change the dances. If you want to run around in your underware that is cool but why not change the dances so it does not look like sexual behavior. That is all my GF really cares about and it seems that is the major concern that I have read about in this post. I just don't want to have a release date change or hinder someone else's game play. My two cents.

actually i do have one more point to add to this before leaving it
obviously a few of you have serious reservations and problems with this aspect of the game many points have been made of it being completely inappropriate for your children to view and your spouces are offended as yourselves the ratings guide is made for PARENTS to be guided as to what to buy for their children to play with to bring something into your house that you consider offensive and expose your children (and spouces) to it is something to consider thoughtfully that is very similar in a way to buying a playboy magazine for an article(jimmy carter interview for example) and demanding the pictures be censored because you have high morals and disapprove you have a responsibility to your morals not to bring it into the house instead of saying change it because it offends your standards |

im not sure if this is possible, but having naked option on or off would be nice...like gory mode on or off in first person shooter games.
if you put naked option off, then you see all people dressed with armour...although they are really naked. only people who put option on would be able to view. for example...2 people are viewing one naked dancer. one person toggled the option off, and other on. the person who toggled it off would see naked dancer dressed with armour. but the person who toggled it on would see naked dancer...as is. for suggestive dance...like warriors, having parameter would be nice...like no one would be able to do any emotes too close to dancing warrior. so if you wanna do emotes around dancing warrior, you have to do it few steps away from the warrior. just to make everyone happy some people may not feel comfortable viewing it...but im sure there are people who have no problems with it too Last edited by Kirbie; Mar 30, 2005 at 07:41 PM // 19:41.. |

I don't think an option like that will make the release (it is less that a month away YEA!!! ) But maby it could be a patch or something like that if A-net does not do patches. Anyway I do not want them to delay the relase. It would not be fair to the other players out there you do not have any problems with it. Any way all the naked dancing is mainly just a BWE thing. It will most likely slow down once the game launches.

I think letting this subject- or at least this thread, and the bad feelings in it- drop is a very good idea. I think we all know we're not going to change the other's opinions, especially with flaming (which is where this is headed), so if we back off and let it settle, we may be able to address it more rationally later.
We all know that's way too late for major code changes (which the filters, as I have them in my head, would involve), and so this discussion is moot on a practical level, at least for now. In the future we might be able to work something out between us to everyone's satisfaction, but as things stand we risk tearing this community apart. Nobody wants that. Let's just let it go, the other thread included, and work on other things for a while, yeah? ^_^ *ahem* That Gwen sure is a scary little girl, huh? ^_^ Dave III |
